Green Shoes Arts
Green Shoes Arts is a Barking and Dagenham based arts organisation offering creative opportunities to the local community. They provide creative activities in a range of art forms, for all ages and abilities.
Co-leading with Morgan Schoonover, Julia worked with a group of adults with mental health issues, which regularly participated in Green Shoes Arts’ projects. In four sessions, they painted, wrote, sang, played and collaboratively created the song Fusion Of Colours, as well as an experimental sound piece inspired by a photo of a jellyfish caught in ice. The group performed both pieces during Dialogue Festival 2017 at the Broadway Theatre in Barking, London.
